Winter wedding at Eastbridgford Hill

Teri and Simon’s late afternoon winter wedding on January 5th was planned in just a few months so Simons family visiting from Argentina could share in the occasion.  Eastbridgford Hill is a fabulously intimate venue perfect for winter weddings, the bride arrived for the ceremony to the sound of  Winter by Tori Amos with fake snow magically falling from the staircase. The bide and groom led a lantern walk to the evening party taking place in a Tipi in the wooded gardens.

2018 in the rear-view mirror my favourite moments

2018 what a fabulous wedding year it’s been, the thing I love about my clients is how diverse they are! I have had a myriad of wedding themes. Viking hand fasting, Penny Dreadful gothic, Steampunk, Peaky Blinders, a coastal cave and traditional to name but a few.  Each one unique but filled with love and celebrations. Every year I look back and pick a few of my personal favourite photographs, these are not always the ones the couples liked best or the most technically proficient just the ones that make me feel warm inside and proud to be the person these people chose to share their big day. hope you enjoy looking through.

The Whitworth centre Peaky Blinders wedding

Jackie and James’ Peaky Blinders inspired wedding at The Whitworth Centre in Matlock was on Halloween, 15 years to the day from when they met. The couple’s enduring love for each other was obvious as they celebrated with friends and family on a perfect autumn day.

Eastbridgford Hill wedding venue Tipi in the woods open day

Eastbridgford Hill is the one of my favourite wedding venues in the country probably the only fully eco friendly venue that offers such a variety of opportunities to tailor your special day to your exact needs. I was invited to their Tipi in the woods open day to take part, to show photographs of the beautiful weddings I have covered there.  While I was there I wandered around and took few snaps.  I am sharing these with a few photographs from my weddings here.

Ocean Kave Westward Ho! Wedding

Emma and Alex’s wedding at Ocean Kave, Westward Ho! was milestone wedding for me 10 years to the week that I started my professional career as a wedding photographer a couple of miles down the coast.  This blog is also special as it starts the day before on the the beach of Westward Ho! where we took a walk in the afternoon sunshine. Ocean Kave is a truly unique wedding venue with its beautiful atmospheric ceremony room in a cave! The day was perfect with summer weather allowing everyone to make the most of the glorious views and lawn games.  We took a stroll down to the coast path for a few portraits then partied the night away to live music from iElectric  and sparkler fun.
