Erasmus Darwin House Wedding

Anna and Adam’s intimate family wedding was held at Erasmus Darwin’s House in Lichfield. Erasmus was the grandfather of the legendary Charles Darwin! The wet weather didn’t effect this lovely occasion where family and friends enjoyed a wonderfully relaxed day celebrating the marriage of this fabulous couple. Adam, a former wedding photographer himself, knew exactly what he wanted from his wedding photography and gave me the freedom to work in my candid style letting the day unfold naturally.

West Mill Steam Punk wedding

What can I say about Becky and Adam’s Steam Punk wedding? The day started like many others with bride prep in a city centre hotel, after we the moved on to The West Mill and it was like stepping from black and white in to glorious technicolour. Peacock Obscura literally translates to Dark Peacock. From the moment I met this brilliant couple I just knew I had to cover their wedding. They understood how I like to work and had just the right amount of flamboyance to carry it off, we were the perfect match!   It was the most fun I’ve had, every moment of this fabulous wedding was full of joy. The West Mill is Derbyshires premier wedding venue and perfect for this wonderfully over the top celebration. How many weddings can boast a pirate band, tug ‘o’ war and lobster wrestling?

Holly and Wayne love shoot

Today I joined Holly and Wayne for a walk around the the grounds of Hardwick Hall for a few photographs and chat about their upcoming wedding.

Emma and Chris love shoot

I spent a lovely evening at Linacre reservoir working through woods filled with bluebells with Emma and Chris to take a few photographs and chat about their wedding this summer. I hope you enjoy the few photographs posted today as much as we enjoyed the walk.
